Ord 18 Annexation of 69.72 acres in Tarrant and Denton CountiesORDINANCE NO. A AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOV IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THEP OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, Ard Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974-G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, j. Glenn Turner and wife, Sue Reeder Turner, owners of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, requesting annexation of a tract of land consisting of a 69.72 acre tract of land, more or less, out of the Jesse Gibson Survey, Tarrant County Abstract 593 and Denton County Abstract 493, State of Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present corporate limits of the Town of Westlake, said point being in Tarrant County and in the south line of the Jesse Gibson Survey A-593 in the north line of the William Huff Survey A-648 at an ell corner in the present corporate limits and the south- east corner of said 69.72 acre tract; THENCE N 890 21' W with the south line of said 69.72 acre tract and the present corporate limits a distance of 1130.56 feet to a point for corner in the east line of Tarrant County Road No. 4060 as fenced and the south- west corner of the 69.72 acre tract; THENCE 01 00 36, E with the east line of County Road No. 4060 and the west line of the said 69-72 acre tract a distance of 2685 feet to a point for corner, said point being at the northwest corner of said 69.72 acre tract and a corner of present corporate limits to the Town of Westlake, Texas; rFid NCE S ago 2 [ Ae north 69 `2 n _ � c., J c- .0 d.!_'t;l. GREETINGS: We, the undersigned, J. Glenn Turner and. wife, Sue Reeder Turner, hereinafter called Petitioner, represent as follows: 1. That they are the Owners of a 69.72 acre tract of land situated in the Jesse Gibson Survey, Tarrant County Abstract 593 and Denton County Abstract 493, State of Texas, fully described by metes and bounds as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the boundary of the Town of Westlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "B". 2. That, the land described in EXHIBITS "A" and "B" hereto attached, is less than one-half mile in width; that less than three qualified voters reside thereon, and is contiguous and adjacent to the Town of Westlake, Texas. 3. Your petitioners agree that if this request for annexa- tion be granted, said land shall become a part of the Town of Westlake, Texas, and the said land and any future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of the Town of Westlake, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said Town, now in effect and as hereafter enacted.
